All power in heaven, on earth, and underneath the earth belongs to God. He upholds everything in His hand. In fact, He displayed His power in the rescue of the Israelites from over 400 years of slavery and ensured that they did not go empty-handed. He gives power to His people to get wealth.
Psalm 62:11 says, “God has spoken once; twice have I heard this: that power belongs to God.”His enemies submit through the greatness of His power. No one can stand before Him. Our God is great and mighty in power. He gives power to those who need it and ask for it, no matter how small or faint they may be.
Just as a potter has power over the clay to make it whatever he desires, so God has power over His creation. He displays His power as it pleases Him. He sometimes endures with much longsuffering toward some, but it would be a mistake for anyone to think this is because He is powerless.
God directed that everyone should be subject to higher powers, because there is no power except that which comes from God. The powers that exist are ordained by Him. They are prearranged and unalterable; they are decreed. Therefore, if you disobey those in authority, you are actually disobeying God, even if you are born again. Knowing that God installs all kings and leaders, we should take heed of what Apostle Paul said in 1 Timothy 2:1–2. He urged us earnestly to pray, intercede, and give thanks for them, because their decisions have an effect on us.
So if God truly has all power, He who kills and makes alive, and in whose hands are the hearts of all people, including kings, directing them wherever He wills, why then are your prayers sometimes unanswered, even though you are His child? There may be many reasons, but today I want us to look at one important reason: timing.
Time is the inevitable progression into the future with the passing of present and past events. It is the appropriate moment for things, taking into account what has happened before and what is yet to come. From this, we understand that certain events must occur before others. Ecclesiastes chapter 3, verses 1–8, tells us that there is a time for everything.
If you have not gone through stages one, two, or three and expect God to take you straight to stage four simply because you have accepted Jesus as your Lord and Savior, that will not happen. Each stage of time and season has its own lessons, knowledge, and growth. Skipping any stage or season will lead to a crash, and God loves you too much to allow that.
A minister of God once said, “What you are praying and fasting for is also looking for you, but not this version of you.”Genesis 8:22 tells us there is seedtime and harvest. Depending on the harvest you desire, the seed must first be planted, followed by a period of growth, germination, sprouting, and maturity, before the harvest can come. Seeds grow into plants and produce fruit only with the right nutrients and proper timing.
God’s power is not limited, but your growth can affect what you are able to receive. There is nothing wrong with His ability to give you what you desire; there is always a set time with God (Psalm 102:13). The responsibility of every believer is to be ready when that set time comes, their own appointed time.
You cannot use another person’s timeline to measure your own. This is one of the reasons why two individuals born on the same day, from the same womb, do not end up with the same outcomes. Your set time is very important.
It is very dangerous for an individual not to know his timing. It can lead to untold hardship and many years of setback. Jesus Christ cried twice: first at the tomb of Lazarus, and secondly over Jerusalem in Luke chapter 19, verses 42–44.
Knowing your timing and working with it will reveal what belongs to you and make accessing it easy. God said His people perish for lack of knowledge, not lack of anointing or power, but lack of knowledge.
Seek to know, and then war with that knowledge in prayer, fasting, and faith. You will succeed in Jesus’ name.
HELP IS AVAILABLE AND ABUNDANT
While we were growing up, we were told that hard work brings success. So we worked hard, long hours, sometimes denying ourselves even the basic things. You buried yourself in work, thinking that in a matter of years you would be successful. But in spite of your commitment, you are still far from that success. You hear people say you still need to commit more. Yet you get to a point where you have no more to give. And to make matters worse, you see people who have not committed half of what you have, yet they are far more successful. They even seem to enjoy life more and do whatever they want, while you struggle just to keep your head above the waters.
Then came the era of “smart work.” You were told it is not about working hard but working smart. But the change is not easy. You have to undergo a complete mindset shift. You have to unlearn, relearn, and learn again. Meanwhile, age is not on your side, you are not as strong as you used to be. And still, there is no guarantee.
There are many factors to consider:
1. The world has become harsh.
Everything is hard. Compare five years ago to now, not just economically, but in all sectors: family, education, child upbringing, economy, politics, leadership, and more. Before, a little effort in the right direction produced good results. You could plan, and to a large extent, you were sure of the outcome. Not anymore.
2. Human beings, the height of God’s creation, can be wicked.
Desperately so. Many are selfish and self-centered. Nobody seems to care about others. Some people are unwilling to help, even when you share the same blood. You are important only to the extent that they can get something from you. They bleed you dry, suck you like an orange, eat the sweet part and throw away the peel. Their desire is to keep you down so they can be the ones calling the shots. They are not willing to assist you; instead, they look for ways to take the little you have. They present a façade before you, but behind you they hold daggers, ready to strike. Every word and action is misconstrued.
Jesus said in Matthew 24:12, “And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold.” Wake up, dear brother and sister, we are indeed in the latter days.
3. The end time is here.
Because of this, the enemy (the devil) is fighting with all his might to ensure that God’s purpose is not fulfilled and to drag as many as he can to hell with him. For example, if God gives you an assignment to care for orphans and send them to school, the success of that assignment would draw them closer to God. But if your business or livelihood is not producing enough for your own family, how will you think of helping others? You see, the devil’s modus operandi has not changed: to kill, steal, and destroy. He only upgrades and repackages his strategies to deceive as many as possible.
I want you to know today that everyone you see who has succeeded tremendously has received or sourced help beyond the human sphere. Do not get me wrong, the spirit world assists people in this physical world to succeed. I am not referring only to the Spirit of God. There are many spirits operating today apart from the Holy Spirit: demonic spirits, human spirits, even your own spirit. When you submit to any of these spirits, you can access help and may even succeed to some extent. But if you want lasting success, success that is wholesome and adds no sorrow, only God can give such help.
Study the Bible. Many people were helped by God, and the end of such help was joy, peace, and righteousness. Isaiah 31:1–2 explains what happens to those who seek help elsewhere. God has promised to help you, so why look for help apart from Him?
Prayerfully study the Scriptures and ask for His help. He will help you.
See: 2 Chronicles 14:11; Psalm 28:7; Psalm 33:20; Psalm 37:40; Psalm 40:17; Psalm 46:1, 5; Psalm 60:11; Psalm 94:17; Psalm 146:5; Isaiah 31:1; Isaiah 41:10; Isaiah 50:7; Hosea 13:9; Hebrews 13:6.
The Bible says in Hebrews 4:16 that we should come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in times of need. This is the throne room where you are seated with Christ, if you have surrendered your life to Him.
Help is abundant for you, His beloved, but on His terms, not yours.
Help is available for you.

BE SENSITIVE
God delights in a robust relationship with every one of His children, and He will go to any extent to sustain it. The devil has no power to destroy such a relationship. However, you alone determine the trajectory of this relationship.
On one hand, you have God, who will spare nothing to ensure the success of your relationship with Him. But one thing that can affect it is sin. The devil will not stop you from going to church, singing, or jumping; instead, he will systematically shift your focus away from God. He knows he cannot tempt you outrightly to steal, kill, or do something extreme, but he will quietly lead you away through subtle disobedience, such as ignoring divine instructions not to go somewhere, refusing to get up and pray, refusing to forgive, or engaging in things God knows will not end well.
According to 1 Samuel 15:23:
“For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry.”
Rebellion is resistance to an established government, in this case, the government of God. It is defiance of His authority and control. So whenever you rebel against or resist God’s directives or guidance, you are practicing witchcraft. You are no different from witches.
Stubbornness is not only refusing to believe a crucial message but also despising or looking down on the person God sent to deliver it. The Bible equates it with idolatry. An idol is not only a carved object; anything in your heart that refuses to bow to God’s Word is an idol.
That pride and arrogance…
That “this is how we are in my family”…
That anger you justify because “you can’t take any nonsense from anyone”…
Even when the Spirit of God keeps telling you to deal with it (Job 41:34, Romans 12:16, 2 Corinthians 12:5).
These things look innocent, but the enemy uses them to build strongholds.
Unforgiveness, yes, someone wronged you, but God said forgive. Unforgiveness is like cancer. When you hold on to it, it eats away at you, your health, your organs, your finances, and your peace.
My dear beloved, is it worth it?
Must you lose your joy, peace, and God’s favour because someone expressed an opinion or made a statement that didn’t come from God? Must you crumble because someone rejected you, when your Creator has not rejected you? Or because someone thinks you’re “not enough,” when God says you are fearfully and wonderfully made?
The devil will keep whispering that you’re not at fault, that you have every right to be angry and refuse to forgive. Your heart then begins to build resentment until you desire to see that person hurt or destroyed. Before you know it, the idol becomes so large that you are waiting eagerly to hear bad news about them so you can lift your hands in thanksgiving that “God has judged your enemy.”
But that is not godly, and that is not God at work.
God is love, and He expects you to walk in love.
He said, “Vengeance is mine, I will repay.” (Romans 12:19)
The devil will even use people close to you to incite you, giving advice that sounds right but contradicts God’s instructions. Be watchful. They are not bad people; their judgement is simply based on earthly reasoning, not divine guidance.
Moreover, God expects total and absolute obedience from you. You will be measured by this, not by the actions of others.
There are little foxes that spoil the vine, things that seem inconsequential to you but which the enemy uses because you are not spiritually alert. Before you realize it, they grow into something large and difficult to handle. Backsliding doesn’t happen in a day; it happens gradually.
When the devil keeps magnifying the things you don’t yet have, you slowly lose joy over the things God has already done for you. Soon, your joy disappears, your strength to praise weakens, and your confidence in an unfailing God fades. Then the devil begins to subtly plant suggestions, and before long, you begin to consider following his ways. He will show you stories of people who “succeeded” by going his way, but he will never show you what they exchanged for it.
Dear beloved, it is not worth it.
Your Father is working behind the scenes. He has promised you peace, not evil, and He will give you your expected end.
Rejoice always.

KNOW YOUR DUTY
When we talk about staying with God and the possibility that He might send you out, some people become afraid because they believe being “sent” automatically means becoming a pastor. They have heard and seen a lot about pastors, and they are not ready for such a responsibility. As a result, they avoid building a deep relationship with God simply because they do not want to become pastors.
While growing up as a new convert, I never desired or prayed for a pastor as a husband. To me, and probably to many others, the pastors we saw growing up were either poor, deceptive, or unhappy, almost as if they were forced into the role. Others who displayed wealth carried themselves in a way that did not reflect what you would expect from a man of God.
First, I want you to know that there are many great pastors and men of God who are doing wonderfully for God. There will always be bad eggs, not only among pastors but among all human beings across every sector: business, health, education, politics, and more. You will always find people whose actions do not match your expectations.
Today, I want you to know that God is not the author of confusion. Some people are not called by God; some are called by their needs or other personal reasons. But that is not our focus today. There is a divine purpose for choosing and setting leadership in the church.
Ephesians 4 teaches us how to behave as believers:
* Walk worthy of your calling with all lowliness and meekness.
* Keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of love.
* There is one body and one Spirit, and you are called in one hope, one Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God.
From this, you see that irrespective of your assignment, everyone is working towards one goal. Everyone is given grace according to the measure of the gift depending on their assignment. In verse 11, we see the list of gifts given, this is what we call the fivefold ministry. Verse 12 explains the purpose:
1. For the perfecting of the saints.
2. For the work of the ministry.
3. For the edification of the body of Christ.
All of this is with one intention, as seen in verse 13: “Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ.”
So that, as verse 14 says, we will no longer be children tossed to and fro by every wind of doctrine.
God knows that if you remain ignorant and immature, the sleight of men and their cunning craftiness will destroy you. “Sleight of men” refers to an artful trick, something done so cleverly that you don’t notice how it happened. That is why you must grow. Your Father has placed gifts in the body of Christ that, if well harnessed, will make you a well-rounded, solid child of God.
You will notice in verse 12 that the Bible mentions the work of the ministry. This means there are many other works that need to be done, and the fivefold gifts are given to equip God’s children to fulfil their ministries. You must understand that there are varying assignments, and as a child of God, you are called to something specific. He who calls you will equip you, and as He sends you, He will surely provide everything needed for success.
1 Corinthians 12:4–10 tells us:
“There are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit… differences of administrations, but the same Lord… diversities of operations, but the same God who works all in all.”
We are one body but many members, just like the human body is one but has many parts. Every part is important, and no matter where you are placed, God is trusting you to do it with your whole heart. The parts are so connected that if one suffers, all the others are affected (1 Corinthians 12:1–28).
Imagine a church full of powerful, Spirit-filled believers speaking in tongues and prepared for miracles, signs, and wonders, yet no one is willing to clean the church, wash the toilets, or arrange the chairs because they consider those roles “too low.” Imagine no one willing to handle proper administration. Imagine a household where everyone wants to be the father because they think it is the best position. The church is not designed to be a one- or two-part show. That is why God set all those gifts in Ephesians 4. No matter your part, you must be taught and discipled to maturity until you have the stature of Christ.
In the book of Acts, there was a complaint that some people were being overlooked in the daily distribution of food. The apostles instructed the people to choose seven brethren of honest report, full of the Holy Ghost and wisdom, to handle the task. You may wonder why they needed to be full of the Holy Ghost, they were simply serving tables, distributing what we would call “palliatives” today.
However, you don’t know where that simple assignment will lead. From those seven men came Stephen and Philip. Acts 6:8 says Stephen, full of faith and power, did great wonders and miracles among the people. After his death, persecution arose and scattered the church. Philip, also one of the table servers, went to Samaria and preached Christ. God used him mightily (Acts 8:5–8, 26–40).
There is no limit to how God can use a yielded vessel, no matter how they entered into service. Find your place and stay there, even if it seems as lowly as serving tables. Do it with love for Him. He rewards all faithful work and service.
GOD BLESS YOU.

GODS PROGRAM FOR THE COUNTRY AND THE WORLD
After Jesus’ resurrection, He told the disciples in Matthew 28:18–20 that all power has been given unto Him. They are to go into all nations and preach the gospel. You will agree with me that there is so much going on in the world today that requires the power of the resurrected Christ. The whole world lies in darkness. All you need to do is pick up a newspaper or listen to the news. You begin to wonder what has happened to the creation that God the Creator said was good. Darkness has completely taken over. What else do you call a situation where a man or woman abuses his or her own biological child? Or where a man, who was given authority over all that God created, is sleeping with animals?
People’s minds are so depraved that they can do anything for money or to gratify their evil innate desires. The devil has taken over to the point that the few individuals who choose to stand for righteousness are looked upon as aliens from another world. Righteousness is no longer fashionable. When a young lady says she is keeping herself sexually pure for marriage, refusing to engage in sex before marriage, she is seen as someone diseased, to be avoided like a plague. Friends, and sometimes even parents, go all out to offer so-called “help” to get her out of such a stance, forgetting what the Bible says.
There is no two ways about it: you either dwell in light or in darkness. For every sexual partner you have, there is a transference in your spirit. A part of their life is deposited into you. What then becomes of you in the future after having sex with so many simply because you were “enjoying yourself”?
Abuse, addictions, and all forms of bad behavior hold their power through secrecy. An abuser threatens his victim not to reveal anything, saying that if anyone finds out, he or she will kill them or harm their loved ones. The Bible says in Isaiah 60:2 that there is gross darkness upon the earth. The whole world lies in wickedness. So you, the child of light, are expected to arise and shine. Darkness will always disappear when light comes.
You owe God a duty to arise and establish His counsel and His will wherever there is darkness. You have been delivered from darkness, and it would be selfish of you not to desire that others in darkness enjoy the light you now walk in. Moreover, the darkness you see and remain indifferent to will eventually affect you, either directly or indirectly. You have been told and sent into the world (Matt. 28:18–20; 1 John 1:6; 1 John 5:19; John 12:46; Isaiah 13:11).
You, the redeemed, have an assignment to the world, and you must fulfill that assignment. However, you must know what you have been called to do. Tarry in His presence until you are built and released. Then you will succeed in whatever assignment you are called into.
Let me leave you with this passage, Romans 10, with emphasis on verses 13–15. Yes, not all of us will be pastors or church leaders, but there are diverse ways we can preach the gospel. Our lives themselves are messages people see and respond to.
God will help us.

GOD’S AGENDA DOR THE COMMUNITY
A community is a group of people sharing common characteristics such as language, law, religion, or tradition. It can also refer to a group of people interacting, whether electronically or in person, for educational, professional, social, or other purposes.
It is the decree of God that His knowledge will fill every community; therefore, He desires His children to take their place in such environments. God said in Jeremiah 51:20 that “You are My battle axe.” He wants to use you to destroy kingdoms and nations that delight in oppressing people, homes, lives, and destinies.
Note that this is not a physical battle. You are not to take up guns or weapons to attack such powers. God’s way of dealing with these forces is spiritual, not carnal. As His battle axe, you must go to God, build yourself in Him, and align with His ways to accomplish His purpose.
There are many ways God can use you, and you cannot assume He will always use the same method. He alone has the prerogative to send you out, or to keep you in preparation. When God created man in Genesis, His desire was that man should exercise dominion. The first thing He did was to teach man how to do this, by coming regularly to fellowship with him.
The first step toward achieving your divine assignment is to be with God. Let Him groom you. He delights in fellowshipping with you, building you, and preparing you. When He is sure you are ready, He will decide when and where to send you.
We see this also reflected when Jesus chose His disciples. Mark 3:14 says, “And He ordained twelve, that they should be with Him, and that He might send them forth to preach.”
The Lord knows what needs to be confronted in every community, and He needs a formidable battle axe, one that is difficult to defeat or overcome. He also knows the exact strategy to deploy for the complete destruction of the enemy. Sometimes, a very simple strategy brings great results. If the devil had known that killing Jesus would lead to his own downfall, he would not have allowed it. But he thought Jesus’ death would be the end, however, through His death, countless “Jesuses” were born!
Do you sense that you are being called to a community assignment? Then let God build you and release His strategy into your spirit for the accomplishment of that mission. When you see many negative things happening in your community and your spirit is grieved, begin to pray and seek God’s face.
Sometimes your assignment may be to pray that God’s Kingdom will come into that community, while another person may be sent to act physically. Know that both the sower and the reaper will share in the harvest, for it is our Father who gives the increase. No assignment is small in God’s sight, every act of faithfulness is worthy of reward.
Oh, what joy to see darkness destroyed in the community where you, the light of God, reside! What delight to see people delivered from bondage to Satan, no matter how long they’ve been enslaved, and to witness them gaining the liberty to serve the Heavenly Father who is Love, Abba Father, the Double-Breasted One who gives liberally and delights in our growth.
When light prospers, people are lifted. Your presence in whatever community you find yourself should radiate so much light that darkness automatically disappears.
You will make it, in Jesus’ name. Amen.

GOD’S PROGRAM FOR THE FAMILY
The desire of God is that the whole earth be filled with His knowledge as the waters cover the sea (Isaiah 11:9; Habakkuk 2:14). He wants all creation to know Him. He desires to have a relationship with all men, and He will stop at nothing to achieve this.
However, in creating you, He has given you the ability to choose. He will not force Himself on you. He desires that every family be one that gives His Spirit the chance to lead and direct them. He wants a household where godly children can be nurtured to become extensions of His hand and love, in schools, in communities, and in every sector of human life.
You, as the head of your household, and one who has a stake in that household, must ensure that you know God’s plan and purpose for your family and for the children God has given you. Irrespective of how a child came into your care (by blood, adoption, etc.), you owe God a duty to train that child so that he or she will ultimately fulfill the counsel of the Creator. You have no business bearing or raising children if you are not ready to do this.
Everyone has a purpose in God’s plan, and it is your duty to make sure you impact those in your care for good. Know assuredly that the devil is on the prowl, seeking to destroy and prevent them from maturing in knowledge, because these children are arrows meant to be used against him.
While you are rejoicing and having baby showers, the enemy is already at work. He attacks even in the womb, and you are told your baby is having health issues or abnormalities. All he desires is that another arrow is not released against him and his cohorts so that his mission to steal, kill, and destroy remains effective.
He releases demonic sicknesses and health challenges to frustrate parents so they give in to his plans instead of standing firm to destroy his attacks on their family. Some families have broken up because of health challenges in their children, even though they once vowed “till death do us part.”
There are so many divorces today, even among believers and ministers of the gospel. The devil is not primarily interested in your marriage but in the power that is available when that marriage is upheld, and in the mighty arrows that would be released against him through it.
He makes sure your finances are attacked, your joy is depleted, and then sells you the lie that your spouse is no longer who you married. He makes other men or women appear more attractive to push you into adultery or fornication. He introduces anger into your life until the object of your love becomes your punching bag. He fills your heart with hatred for your spouse and presents him or her as the cause of your failure.
He introduces drugs, alcohol, and other harmful substances into your life and home, convincing you that you cannot cope without them. And because he tries one thing after another and you remain complacent, he stretches his hand further.
You become hurt, and the joy of the Lord disappears from your life, yet it is that very joy that is your strength. Anger and hatred creep in, followed by unforgiveness. These open the door to diverse sicknesses and incurable diseases. Then you begin to hear terms like “hereditary” or “generational.”
The worst part is that you have opened not only yourself but your entire family to the enemy, and things begin to go downward.
Child of God, you need to rise up! Determine from now on that you will not give any place to the devil.
I am not saying there won’t be challenges, but search the Word of God; those challenges are not meant to overwhelm you (Psalm 23). As long as you are in this world, there will be valleys of the shadow of death, but He will be there with you to see you through. He is with you wherever you go.
Every good or bad thing in society originates from the home. The devil knows that if he can conquer the home, he has achieved his plan. A negative issue not properly handled at home will definitely become a community issue, and eventually a national one.
Therefore, it is important that you guard your heart with all diligence (Proverbs 4:23). Watch what you allow in through the gates of your heart, your eyes, ears, nose, touch, and taste. Out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaks. What is inside of you will always find expression through your words.
As a parent, watch your actions, they speak louder than your voice. Your behavior toward your spouse, children, neighbors, and coworkers is seen as normal behavior by your children.
IT IS WELL.

PROGRAMS
I have found through various situations and people that the best way to be a successful person in life, a success that is lasting and brings glory to God, is to align yourself with His program. Notice, I didn’t say just to be successful. If you want success that lasts and glorifies God, it must come through God’s way.
The kingdom of darkness has helped many people achieve a so-called “success,” but what is the true benefit or end result of such? You have to make a great sacrifice for that kind of assistance. Such an exchange is very costly and, in the long run, leads to destruction.
Some people have sought such help when they couldn’t make ends meet, exchanging their souls for worldly wealth. Most times, the devil will always demand your best, and sometimes, he will even require the very thing for which you make the request. People may see the semblance of success in your life, and some may even desire what you have, but only you know “where the shoe pinches,” as the saying goes. Eventually, such a road will only lead to destruction.
It is only God who gives blessings without adding sorrow to them. To go far with God, you must align yourself with His purpose. God has programs for:
* The individual
* The family
* The community
* The country
* The world, and so on.
INDIVIDUAL
You were created by God for a purpose. You are not a mistake or an accident. Even if your parents did not plan for you, or even did not want you, you are here because the Creator has a purpose for your life.
A healthy man has a sperm count of at least 15 million per milliliter of semen, with a total of about 39 million sperm in an entire ejaculation. That means around 39 million “runners” in a single race! What are the chances that sperm number 201 or 1500 would be the winner? Do you still think your coming into life was a mistake, just because someon, even your parents, said so? If you understand what we’re talking about, you’ll realize that Someone was working behind the scenes, and that you were specifically chosen.
Don’t just make decisions randomly; make sure your decisions align with God’s program for you as an individual. You were not created to waste away or simply pass through life without making a positive impact. You are not useless.
People are quick to condemn others simply because they didn’t succeed academically or in other areas. They use their own yardsticks to measure success and believe you can only succeed through academic qualifications. But look at the world today, people are becoming successful and influential through sports, entertainment, technology, and so on. This shows that being weak in one area doesn’t make you a failure.
Study the human brain, it has three major parts: the cerebrum, the cerebellum, and the brainstem. Each one handles different functions. Go and study how it works. It’s important to know that every one of God’s creations has a purpose. Seek His face and align yourself with His program for your life, and you will see yourself succeeding exceedingly.
God will only support what brings His program to life (Galatians 6:8). I’m sure that you, as a human being, wouldn’t empower someone who would assist your enemy or competitor to destroy you. Likewise, don’t expect God to support or provide for you if He knows that what He gives you won’t be used for His purpose.
Are you ready to be obedient to His voice when He blesses you? Are you dead to self, pride, arrogance, adultery, and fornication? (Galatians 5:19).
It is nothing for God to bless you and lift you up, but are you completely surrendered to Him, not just with your lips but with your heart? He knows the heart of man and can see yours. That’s why He will test you before committing Himself to you.
One meaning of “test,” according to the dictionary, is a session in which a product, equipment, or system is examined under normal or extreme conditions to evaluate its durability. Likewise, you will be tested and evaluated. Why do you want what you are asking for? For what purpose? Don’t think you can lie to Him. He sees your heart, even the very hidden parts.
Deal with it, child of God. The sooner, the better.
It is well.
INTERFERENCE FROM HEAVEN
At other times, you may see outcomes or results that don’t seem to match your decisions. You search and search for the cause but can’t identify the problem. Then, my friend, step back.
Could it be interference from the Father?
The Bible says, “There is a way that seems right to a man, but its end is the way of destruction.” ,Proverbs 14:12, Proverbs 16:25.
To you, the outcomes you desire seem right. You’ve seen them in the lives of successful people, and in fact, you’ve followed their steps faithfully. But the Heavenly Father who created you knows that the end of that path will not be good for you. Because He loves you too much, He will not allow it.
Yes, it hurts, you’ve invested so much in it and you were even prepared.
Let’s look at a simple scenario.
There’s a man, very wealthy. He can afford anything and everything. He has achieved a lot and helped many people. He has a five-year-old son whom he loves dearly and would not deny anything. The boy knows this.
One day, the boy goes to his father and asks for the car keys because he wants to go buy ice cream.
* The father has cars.
* The father loves the boy.
* The father has money for ice cream, and even more.
* Yet, the father refuses the boy’s request.
Is it because:
* The father cannot afford it?
* The father does not love the boy?
Of course not! It is because he loves him exceedingly.
Sometimes, our requests are not granted because the Father loves us too much to give us something that could harm us. The request itself may be right, it may not be sinful. In fact, others may be enjoying the same thing, yet you are denied. You’ve done all you know to do: you’ve fasted, prayed, read the Bible, yet, no result.
The Father loves you too much to give you what will destroy you.
There are many reasons why this happens, and as human beings, we can only imagine a few. Only God knows the true reason. But let us consider two possible reasons:
1. Timing
2. Maturity
TIMING
Ecclesiastes 3:1 says, “To everything there is a season, a time for every purpose under heaven.”
When a 14-year-old impregnates a 13-year-old, imagine the chaos! The pain it brings, to the parents, families, community, even the world at large.
Think about how many couples are desperate for a child, they would go to any length, spend all they have, and still are unable to conceive. The doctors are confused. Both are in perfect health, and even IVF has failed. The sperm and egg are fine, yet no child. Meanwhile, here are two children expecting a baby.
Now think about the baby. Yes, he or she could be put up for adoption, but what awaits that child? Some may argue the baby will have a better chance with loving adoptive parents, but do you know their hearts? Do you know what will happen to that child in 5, 10, or 20 years?
Timing is of the essence, in life and in God’s divine program.
So sometimes, things are delayed or even denied by God because of His timing. It is therefore important that you seek His will and understand His timing for your life. Some people succeed early, while others succeed later. It’s not about how big, but how well.
No wise businessman will invest in a venture destined to fail. God is a shrewd businessman. His investment is always aligned with His purpose, not just our desires.
He makes everything beautiful in its time.
(Psalms 1:3; Psalms 104:27; Psalms 145:15; Proverbs 15:23)
Oh, what beauty it is when things come at the right time not early, not late.
MATURITY
Maturity is the state of being ready or ripe, the prime stage of productivity and self-expression.
The ability to take responsibility is a sign of maturity. If you are not mature in God’s sight for what you desire, His love will cause Him to delay or deny it. You need to grow into maturity.
Maturity is not a gift of the Spirit, it’s something you must work toward deliberately. You pray, study the Word, and obey His directions. Growth is intentional.
God will not entrust His gifts to someone who refuses to grow. My dear, confession without obedience will not bring possession.
Listen, age is not maturity.
Attending church for 10 or 20 years does not make you a mature Christian. Going to church and hearing sermons without living them out will always lead to frustration.
When the Bible says, “You shall know the truth…”(John 8:32), it means:
– to be certain of,
– to become aware,
– to be acquainted and familiar with,
– to understand and discern through experience and study,
to recognize and grasp the true nature of something.
These do not come merely by listening with your physical ears.
When you become mature, you’ll realize that those very desires are waiting for the matured you.
Stay focused.

WHEN OUTCOME DOES NOT MATCH DECISIONS
*Title:*
In the process of going through life, we sometimes make decisions that, when we see the outcome, are not what we desired. Other times, we encounter outcomes that we cannot trace to any decision we’ve consciously made. We don’t know the source and cannot connect it to any choice we remember making.
So how do you deal with such situations? Do you just fold your arms and let it be? *Definitely not.*
*The First Step:*
Determine the cause of such outcomes. Ask yourself:
1. Is it due to misjudgment in evaluating the outcomes of your decisions?
2. Is it a lack of due diligence on your part in properly analyzing the steps that led to those outcomes?
3. Is it the result of decisions you didn’t consciously make?
4. Is there interference from other people or external sources?
5. Have you breached a protocol or “jumped the gun” somehow?
*Whatever the case may be*, as long as the outcome is different from what you expected, *you need to do the following immediately:*
*A. Identify the source of the outcome.*
Sometimes, it’s so subtle that only help from the Creator can reveal it.
The devil is so crafty (skillful at deceiving) that by the time you realize what’s going on, it may almost be too late.
Every wrong step or move likely started a long time ago, maybe with a small issue you didn’t take seriously.
It seemed so insignificant that you ignored it, saying things like:
“It doesn’t matter.”
“It happens to everyone.”
“It’s the economy.”
“It’s the weather.”
But you forget that *not everyone is affected* the same way. Even though you are in the same economy, some people are not experiencing what you are.
This is where your relationship with *God and His Word* becomes crucial.
As long as what you are experiencing is *contrary* to your desired outcome, *resist it in prayer, violently* if necessary.
*Don’t Just Say “I Reject It, Replace It**
It’s not enough to just reject a negative outcome or pronouncement. *You must replace it immediately* with the Word of God that describes what you want.
You’ve heard people say, “I reject that in Jesus’ name!” But rejection alone isn’t enough.
*You must replace that vacuum* with what you actually want, based on *God’s Word*.
If you don’t, something or someone else will fill it.
*Steps Toward Your Desired Outcome*
1. Search the Scriptures.
2. Speak the Word that aligns with your expectation.
3. Take the necessary steps toward that outcome.
4. If you’ve taken a wrong step, confess, ask for forgiveness, and start taking the right steps.
5. If necessary, engage in spiritual warfare. *John 10:10* Anything that reduces you, affects you negatively, or depletes you is not from God.
*Examples to Consider*
You may see people who, after obtaining a BSc, go for a Master’s, even a PhD, hoping for better opportunities, only to end up working as a security guard or driver.
Meanwhile, someone your age tells you to “relax” because they also haven’t found a job yet.
But what about your other mates, those who are now heads of companies or running conglomerates?
*The enemy wants you to feel comfortable in that low estate* by only showing you people who haven’t made it, never the ones who are ahead.
*The Truth: Resources Are Abundant*
There are resources on this earth that humans cannot exhaust.
*What you need is available.*
Don’t fall for the lie that nobody is succeeding because of the economy.
Remember how many people became millionaires even during the global lockdown caused by COVID?
That lie is a trick of the devil to keep you from pressing forward until one day you wake up and realize you’ve been completely left behind.
*Yes, Divorce Rates Are High…*
But there are still marriages lasting *30, 40 years* or more, where couples are still *happy and fulfilled*.
They didn’t stay together because they had no options. They stayed because they wanted to.
*Beloved, Do Not Be Deceived.*
There is *good in the land*.
You can access the resources God has made available.
*Don’t settle for less.*
What God has deposited on this earth is *for the good of all*, but *you must press in* to access it.
*Correct Your Errors, Use Your Words*
Identify where you’ve missed it, and take steps to correct your mistakes.
*Use your mouth.* Cancel negative confessions and speak positive ones.
The Bible says *”you shall say”*, not “you shall think.” *(Joshua 1:8)*
* a. Do not let it depart from your mouth.
* b. Meditate on it day and night.
* c. Observe to do all that is written in it.
* d. Then you will prosper.
* e. Then you will have good success.

*You Are Made in God’s Image*
We are created in the image and likeness of God—and He is a *talking God*. *(Genesis 1:3)*
We are talking beings.
*Open your mouth.*
Cancel what you’re seeing that is not in line with your expected outcome.
Begin to declare what *you want to see*, according to God’s will for your life.
*Check Yourself*
Are you the cause of the problem?
Have you entered places you’re not supposed to be?
Are you connected with people you shouldn’t be around?
Check:
* Your associations *(Proverbs 13:20, Psalm 1:1)*
* Your relationships
* Your conduct
Are you compromising a little, forgetting that *a little leaven leavens the whole lump*? *(1 Corinthians 5:6, Galatians 5:9)*
*Be Sober. Be Vigilant.*
You will not fail, in *Jesus’ name.*
